My eye comes first, before the architecture, before the contractor conversations, before any of it. Pattern, proportion, the quality in a piece of stone or an antique before I've even touched it, twenty-four years of training across three continents built that instinct, and it's the reason the rooms I design feel personal rather than simply finished.

Architecture is what lets that vision survive being built. I read construction drawings and understand what a home can structurally become, not as a project-management skill, but as part of the design itself, knowing which wall can move changes what the room can be, long before anyone picks a finish. My international years, Houston, Shanghai, Berlin, mean I source from wherever the right piece actually exists, a German fabricator, a Colorado craftsman, a vintage dealer nobody else has found, chosen because it's right for the room, never just because it was easy to order.

I stand behind every decision through the entire life of a project, not because I happen to be nearby, but because a vision only survives contractors, budget pressure, and a client's own second thoughts if the person who designed it is the one holding it the whole way through. That's not project management. That's the design still being the design, all the way to the day the art goes on the wall.

I'm not here to follow trends. Depth and meaning matter more to me than a showroom finish, and I think they should matter to you too.
