Exciting.

I did a show-house with Sharon Staley in February for ASIDTGCC and it was recently published on the cover of the ASIDTGCC newsletter. This room was pulled together so quickly using furniture from various generous local showrooms. They really saved me on this one! The room is the living space of a 2 bedroom condo in a highrise in downtown Houston. The ceilings are low and we couldn't change the flooring or the walls. My original window treatments got stuck in the blizzard that was happening Northeast at the time...so another amazing showroom pulled together this valance for me using leftover fabric, in 2 hours! I am lucky that I get to work with such amazing people.

Here are a few more of my images from the room...

California Craftsman.

I want to share a wonderful e-decorating project I completed recently. It is a living room in an adorable Craftsman bungalow. The room was too dark and the couple needed a plan to fit their growing family. I used their existing sofa & some important family items. This is what they had to say about their design...

"We received your package last night- it was wonderful! You clearly put a lot of special care and thought into the design, and we're both thrilled. Thank you so much- we can't wait to start in on implementing the plan. It's so nice to have your direction to follow- no uncertainty about whether our choices would be good ones or not. Really - it's a blessing and a huge help."

Each Jamie House Design packet is custom designed for you. I provide you with a floorplan detailed with specific furniture and ideas. I recommend colors and fabrics. I provide you with a plan to implement the design and a purse size shopping plan. All detailed for you.

I love my job:) Let me know if you'd like more information.

Absence.

Hey all! I've been contemplating my return to blogging & how much to share or not. It's always such a fine line. This social media "expert" says to keep your personal life out of it while at the same time saying people want to know who you are. While other experts say to walk the line b/n personal & business & that you have to post everyday or you're sunk. Nevertheless, I'm learning to block out those voices. I have so much to say & it gets jumbled when I'm trying to figure out what everyone else thinks I should do.

I've taken a job at a local furniture store to supplement my business. It's a lot of work & completely different from anything that I've ever done. Challenging to say the least;) I'm back to blogging. I took a much needed break...a little shelter to determine my next steps. I'm fully renewed & ready for the next phase of this bloggity & my business. I can't wait to share with you the amazing projects I've been working on as well as my adorable house.

Thanks so much for reading! I value you more than you know:)
